In 2006, the OSTI a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization was formed.  At OSTI we believe in carrying this beyond the dedicated safety professionals, to all of your employees.

Therefore, training was expanded to providing safety awareness training for new as well as the seasoned employees.  Under an agreement with several colleges, OSTI’s professionally prepared curriculum, course graduates may apply for college credit and continuing education units (CEUs) towards their selected degree. We now have a 15+ year track record in providing quality hands-on training to employees and employers with certifications and continuing educations units.

The OSTI quickly becoming a leader in occupational safety training and education. This ambitious achievement was reached through an unwavering commitment to excellence in education and an uncompromising adherence to sound business practices; our founders and staff hold themselves to only the highest expectations and standards.

Our Mission

OSTI was founded with a commitment to education and safety training. In 2019, the OSTI board members recognized the growing crisis of veterans and families living on the streets. Understanding the urgent need for a sustainable solution, they developed a comprehensive program designed to help these “displaced” individuals through housing, education, and training.

Our program was built not only to provide shelter but also to offer food, education, vocational training, and essential life skills to those seeking financial independence. The goal was to create a pathway for individuals to regain stability and achieve self-sufficiency.

The Birth of HD HIRED

In 2021, Helping the Displaced get Honor, Integrity, Education, and Dignity (HD HIRED) was launched as an initiative under OSTI. HD HIRED began forming partnerships with educational organizations to provide online vocational courses, supplemented with on-site practical training. This blended learning approach ensured that participants gained both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, empowering them to secure stable employment.

In addition to supporting veterans and families, the program extended its reach to young adults transitioning out of family protective services, offering them a stable foundation for a successful future.
